The AIS was crucial in my development. Growing up in Perth, I was always passionate about football, but moving to the AIS was my first real taste of professional training. The level of coaching and competition helped prepare me for the challenges of professional football. It was a stepping stone that led to my first big move to Melbourne Victory.

That debut was something I’ll never forget. Melbourne derbies are intense, and to get my first professional minutes in such a high-stakes game was amazing. We won 2-1, and being part of that atmosphere, with goals from Archie Thompson and Mark Milligan, was surreal. It was a perfect introduction to the A-League.

My time at Melbourne Victory was full of learning experiences. Scoring my first goal against Wellington Phoenix was a highlight, but overall, it was about growing as a player. I didn’t always get as much game time as I would have liked, but playing alongside experienced players and being part of such a big club helped me develop a lot.

Wellington Phoenix came at the right time, and I was convinced by both Rado Vidošić and Darije Kalezić that it was the best place for me to develop my game. They had a clear vision of how I could fit into their system, and I felt that moving to Wellington would give me the chance to grow. The one-year contract gave me the freedom to focus on my football without too much pressure, and it was a good period for me.

Melbourne City was another important chapter in my career. The club has a strong setup, with great facilities and a clear focus on development. I learned a lot during my time there, particularly in terms of tactical awareness and how to adapt to different styles of play. Being part of a club that has such high standards pushed me to become a better player. Auckland FC is a new club, but we have big ambitions. Being part of a team that’s building something from the ground up is exciting. There’s a lot of energy and hunger within the squad, and we’re all working hard to make our mark in the A-League. I’m enjoying my time here.

My immediate goal is to help Auckland FC establish itself in the A-League and be as competitive as possible. On a personal level, I want to continue improving my game and contributing to the team’s success. In the long term, I’d love to get back into the national team setup and represent Australia again. There’s still a lot I want to achieve, and I’m excited about the future.
