THIS IS AUCKLAND is Auckland FC’s celebration of the city’s vibrant cultural diversity.
Before each home game, starting approximately three hours before kickoff and continuing up to two hours after, fans are invited to experience an American-style tailgate – an outdoor social event where people gather around cars and tents, in the LilyWorld car park just outside the stadium, to eat, drink and celebrate before our home matches.
To note, those who attend THIS IS AUCKLAND are not required to have a ticket to the game. We encourage all family and friends to join us!

THIS IS AUCKLAND is a living, breathing expression of the city we call home – a celebration of Auckland’s cultural diversity and the truly global nature of football. Just like the game itself, Auckland is shaped by many cultures, languages and traditions coming together as one.
Auckland FC creates a space where fans can connect with their own communities while also discovering others – sharing food, stories, music and traditions that reflect who we are and where we come from. It’s about pride, belonging and the simple joy of coming together through football. With food stalls, music, laughter and conversation, the event captures the energy, warmth and multicultural spirit that makes Auckland unique.
To help bring THIS IS AUCKLAND to life, we ask that community groups support the event by bringing key items such as tents, chairs, tables, food and coolers where possible.
If you’re able to contribute any of these items, or can help with setup on the day, please connect with your community heads or relevant group chats to coordinate logistics and details.
Together, we’ll create a vibrant, welcoming space that truly reflects Auckland – on and off the pitch.
