Auckland FC are delighted to announce the signing of highly rated New Zealand forward Aaron Cartwright ahead of the 2026–27 season.
One of New Zealand’s brightest young prospects, Cartwright has represented his country at youth level, starring as the top scorer and golden ball winner at the 2024 OFC Under-16 Championship before featuring at the 2025 FIFA Under-17 World Cup.
The young forward has spent the past few years at Melbourne City in their academy, most notably making his first team debut in the Australia Cup in 2025 and being named on the bench in the AFC Champions League this past season.
“Being part of the New Zealand youth sides is something I’ve really taken pride in since making that switch”, says Cartwright.
“I’m excited to strengthen my ties to New Zealand and join up with the most successful side in the country; it’s an opportunity I am really excited for.”
