Auckland FC open pre-season with dominant win over West Coast Rangers
Auckland FC kicked off their 25/26 season campaign in emphatic style, cruising to a 5-0 win over West Coast Rangers in the first friendly of the season at Fred Taylor Park.
In front of a buzzing crowd of hundreds, the Black Knights took to the pitch for the first time this season and wasted no time making an impression. Logan Rogerson opened the scoring with a composed finish to set the tone early, before Marlee François doubled the lead. Jesse Randall then delivered to give Auckland a 3-0 advantage heading into the break.
The second half saw Randall continue his standout performance with his second goal of the night, followed by Cam Howieson adding a fifth to cap off a confident and cohesive display from the squad.
A huge thank you to the fans who braved the winter chill and packed out Fred Taylor Park it was a fantastic sight to see.
