Auckland FC is delighted to confirm that five of its players have been called up to represent New Zealand in the upcoming international window, which features two highly anticipated Soccer Ashes clashes against the Socceroos.
New signing Oli Sail has been selected as a goalkeeper for the New Zealand national team. He will be joined by defenders Francis de Vries and Callan Elliot, both of whom continue to be trusted figures within the Auckland FC squad.
In attack, Logan Rogerson has earned a call up after narrowly missing out on selection in the previous window. Jesse Randall has also been rewarded for his outstanding form, where he has made headlines by scoring six goals in just four games for Auckland FC.
Defender Nando Pijnaker sustained an ankle injury and has since undergone surgery. He will, unfortunately, miss the upcoming international window and is expected to be sidelined for 12 weeks.
Auckland FC congratulates its players on their international recognition and wishes them every success in the coming fixtures. The All Whites’ last Soccer Ashes match kicks off on Monday, 9 September, 7pm at Go Media Stadium.
