Country

The New Zealand Derby is back at Go Media Stadium for an Election Day special, and what better day to celebrate our country!

Fans can look forward to Ride-On Animals, Line Dancing lessons, a performance from Kiwi Country singer, Rosie Teese pre-match, and a warbird flyover, bringing that ‘Country’ twist to derby day.

So dust off your cowboy boots and get ready to make some noise as we look to continue our derby day dominance!

Family Fan Zone

The Family Fan Zone will be in full swing from 3:30pm, located at the North End of the stadium beneath the big screen. There’s something for everyone, including a 25-metre inflatable slide, face-painting, fun partner activations and plenty more fun for the whole family.

Pre-Match & Half-Time Entertainment

Fans are set up to get the full Country experience pre-match, with Line Dancing lessons, Lawn games, Ride on Animals and more set up in the Family Fan Zone and around the concourse, setting the scene for another derby day spectacle!

The excitement will continue as Kiwi Country singer Rosie Teese performs before kickoff, followed by the now customary Warbirds flyover.

Get ready for some half-time action with Anchor’s Don’t Spill the Milk Challenge! Six teams will go head-to-head in an obstacle course, putting their skills to the test for the chance to win the ultimate staycation. Who will keep their milk steady and take home the prize?

We encourage all fans to catch this train!

Travelling from the City

With the opening of the City Rail Link, there are now frequent train services to Penrose from three city centre stations. From Waitematā, Te Waihorotiu and Karanga-a-Hape stations, catch the South City line (S-C) to Penrose for Go Media Stadium.

Travelling from South Auckland

Travelling from West Auckland

Travel directly to Penrose Station from as far as Henderson Station on the Onehunga West line (O-W). If you’re coming from further West, take the East West line to Karanga-a-Hape Station, then transfer to the South City line to reach Penrose, or transfer to the O-W line at any station after Henderson.

Derby Day: Election Special

The match takes place on NZ Election Day, with voting closing at 7pm, so make sure to cast your vote before attending the match on Saturday, as polling stations will be closed after the match.

There won’t be any polling stations at Go Media Stadium; however, there are many stations nearby for fans to get to pre-match and cast their vote!

The map below shows all the voting locations surrounding Go Media Stadium.

The Port is located in Bays 21, 22 & 23, in the middle of the lower South Stand. If you’re in this section, expect singing, standing and colourful language. Please remember that Bays 21, 22 & 23 are for Port ticket holders only. Please ask our friendly team on matchday if you have ticketing queries.

For those keen to enjoy the atmosphere of the South Stand without the need to stand and sing all game, we recommend the bays outside of Bays 21, 22 & 23 in the Lower South Stand.

Auckland FC games are a family-friendly event where fans of all ages should feel welcome and be able to enjoy the match. For this reason, we advise families with young children or fans who prefer to sit to avoid the Port section.

And as ever, wherever you are in the stadium, be respectful of each other and staff. Abusive or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated and will result in immediate ejection from the stadium.

LilyWorld Garden Bar – Go Media Stadium

LilyWorld Garden Bar will be open from 10am, serving food and drinks. LilyWorld is the best place to soak up the atmosphere and connect with AFC fans before and after the game. With a live DJ, food & drink deals and a huge screen showing the game and pre-match entertainment– there’s no place better. Lilyworld is accessible via Gate E on Maurice Road.

If you’re an Auckland FC member, you receive a discount! Show your digital membership card.
