Auckland FC is inviting the city to cheer on the team at its Takutai Square take over.

Fresh from winning the Premier’s Plate, The Black Knights will be playing in their first knockout semi-final away in Australia, before playing the return leg back at Go Media on Saturday, May 24th.

Attendees can expect a great atmosphere, with Takutai Square hosting a 30sqm big screen, cage football, DJ and lawn games, making it ideal for families.

The retail team will be in attendance with AFC merchandise for sale, tickets to the upcoming home semi-final and membership for the 25/26 season will also be available for purchase.

Although free, the event will be ticketed with both Tyler Street Sport and The Brit open to over 18s only.

  • Tyler Street Sport is best suited to Port members and fans keen to sing, cheer and stand all game
  • The Brit will provide a more relaxed atmosphere, suited to members
  • Takutai Square will be ideal for families, with the build-up starting early for those who won’t make the 9:35pm kick-off time

Auckland FC CEO, Nick Becker said the watch party would be a chance to celebrate what the club has achieved to date and show support for the finals.

“We’re a club for Auckland, a club for the community and club that needs your support. It makes such a difference so rather than watching at home this is chance to get together and cheer on the team,” says Becker.

“Even if you have little ones, or even older ones, who won’t make the 9:35pm kick-off, there will be plenty going on in the square from 4pm. We’ll also be replaying iconic moments across the season on the big screen, including the 6-1 demolition derby in full.”

Tickets are limited and will be available to each venue via Eventbrite on Monday at 12pm.

Look out for further information from the club on Monday.
