One hundred limited edition Auckland FC ‘Day 1’ football shirts are up for grabs across the city thanks to a new sponsorship between the club and ANZ Bank New Zealand.

- 100 shirts to be hung-up around the city from now until Saturday, October 19
- Clues to be released on @ANZAotearoa Instagram page
Over the next five days the shirts will be hung up around Auckland for eager fans to find so they can show their support from day 1.
Whether in Takapuna, East Tamaki, or anywhere in between, the jerseys will be available for free – first come first served.
ANZ will be releasing clues on where to find the shirts on its Instagram page from now until the hunt ends on Saturday, October 19, coinciding with the team’s first match.
The initiative is part of ANZ’s new sport sponsorship which shows its support for Auckland FC to inspire a new generation of young football players, fans and families.
“Football is all about the fans and this is a fun way for ANZ to show its support for Auckland FC from day 1,” says ANZ General Manager of Data and Marketing, Astrud Burgess.
“There will never be another day one or game one, what a moment to be a part of. Years from now fans will be able to say we were there from day one.”
“I think it’s fabulous,” said Nick Becker, Auckland FC CEO.
“I couldn’t think of a better way to get people hyped, involved and for them to be able to proudly display their support from day 1. Football is about the fans and the culture they create and this delivers for fans in the best way possible.”
As well as the football shirt hunt, ANZ, a long-standing supporter of sport in New Zealand, will extend its support to youth football at grassroots level through Auckland FC’s youth development camps.
“We are excited to work with ANZ, which has been at the forefront of championing sport in communities across Aotearoa. The bank is now extending that with its support for Auckland FC,” said Becker.
ANZ customers will enjoy exclusive benefits such as ticket discounts and will have access to an exclusive Auckland FC Visa Debit My Photocard. The partnership will see the ANZ logo appear proudly on the back of the home and away player jersey and ANZ signage at Go Media home games.
