Auckland FC closed their 2024/25 Australia pre-season tour with a 2-2 draw against Central Coast Mariners.
Rogerson scored our first goal in the 44th minute leaving the score at 2-1 going into halftime. The second goal came from Gillion in the 83rd minute levelling the score as 2-2 at full time.

Moments That Mattered:
- 18′ – De Vries unleashes a powerful shot from just outside the box, but it narrowly clears the crossbar, missing the target.
- 19′ – De Vries takes another shot, this time from a set piece delivered by Coulibaly, but it also narrowly misses the mark.
- 20′ – De Vries delivers a corner kick, and Smith rises to meet it with a header, but the ball sails just over the bar.
- 21′ – Another corner from De Vries sees Howieson connect with a header, but it too goes high, missing the goal.
- 44′ – The defence is broken down as the ball is played down the wing to Rogerson, who calmly taps it in.
- 52′ – De Vries sends the ball across the box, where Rogerson gets a touch. The ball rebounds, and McKenlay takes a shot, but it veers left and stays in play.
- 65′ – Coulibaly wins the ball and makes a run down the line, passing to De Vries, whose shot once again flies over the crossbar.
- 79′ – De Vries delivers another corner, and this time Sakai gets his head to it, but the goalkeeper is able to make the save.
- 83′ – A cross finds Gillion, who wins the ball and takes a stunning shot, sending it straight into the back of the net.
Overall a great way to end the pre-season tour.
The boys head home to Auckland later this week.
