Auckland FC to launch new season kit at NZFW

Football and fashion walk hand in hand at the exclusive launch of Auckland FC’s new 25/26 season home and away kits.

Supported by New Balance, part of New Zealand Fashion Week and supported by students from Whitcliffe Design School, the show will capture the current zeitgeist for football fashion at SOUL Bar & Bistro on Thursday, Auckland 28.

Tickets for ‘Auckland FC Kit Couture: Presented by Auckland FC & New Balance’ are priced at $150 and include a beautifully prepared three-course meal and AFC cocktail on arrival.

From streetwear to catwalk-ready looks, the show will highlight the intersection of football and fashion – all brought to life with bold styling, fresh creativity, and a few surprise faces on the runway.

“This collaboration fuses football’s energy with Auckland’s creative flair,” said Anna Mowbray, Auckland FC owner.

“The world’s biggest sport has increasingly been seen on catwalks globally, whether it be boots, shirts or the full kit. We’re bringing that catwalk influence to Auckland to launch our new kit in style.”

The show will highlight current streetwear trends, led by New Balance and fearlessly driven by the brands passion for elevating sport. Expect relaxed fits, oversized jerseys, cargo pants, and layered outerwear.

Also on show will be high fashion and a celebration of the silhouette with draped coats, asymmetrical skirts, tailored trousers, structured blazers, and luxe loungewear.

Finally, guests will get a look in a speculative future where football is a tech-powered, global lifestyle with modular garments, aerodynamic cuts, and exoskeleton-inspired layering.

There will also be several bespoke pieces on show that have been designed by the students and incorporate the fabric and patterns of the new kit.

Jess Wallace, Marketing Manager at New Balance said she was excited to see what was put forward by the stylist.

“We’ve given the stylists a broad creative brief and access to the New Balance collection—everything from footwear to apparel,” said Jess.

“They’re also incorporating some of their own original pieces, including garments they’ve personally designed and crafted, which adds a unique and personal touch to the show.

“With a fantastic meal at SOUL Bar & Bistro and a few familiar faces on the runway, it’s shaping up to be a memorable evening.”

Tickets for Auckland FC Kit Couture: Presented by Auckland FC & New Balance are now live and can be through the NZFW website.
