My journey began in New Zealand, but I was born in Scotland. I moved to New Zealand as a young kid and grew up playing football there. I was fortunate to attend Nelson College and later Rathkeale College, which gave me great opportunities to play at a high level. I started my senior career with Tasman United, where I was mentored by Paul Ifill. I made my debut against Auckland City in 2017, and that’s when things started to take off for me. The 2017–18 season was a breakthrough, and it caught the attention of Wellington Phoenix.

It was an exciting step for me. Signing with Wellington Phoenix in 2018 was a dream come true. I made my debut in 2019, coming on as a substitute in a game against Central Coast Mariners. It was a great way to start, with an 8–2 win. Playing in the A-League gave me the chance to test myself against top competition, and it was a real learning experience for me as a young player.

Playing for Motherwell was a great experience, especially since I was back in Scotland, where I was born. I joined them in January 2024 on a short-term deal. It was an intense few months, and although it was a short stint, I enjoyed playing in the Scottish Premiership. Unfortunately, the club decided not to extend my contract at the end of the season, and I was released in May 2024.

I’m excited to be part of Auckland FC’s inaugural A-League Men’s season. After leaving Motherwell, there was a lot of speculation about my next move, and when the opportunity with Auckland FC came up, it felt like the right fit. The club has big ambitions, and being part of something new and exciting in New Zealand football is a great challenge. I’m looking forward to contributing and helping the team achieve its goals.

It’s a huge honour to represent New Zealand. I was first called up for friendlies against China in 2023, and I made my debut in a scoreless draw on 23 March. Wearing the New Zealand jersey is a special feeling, and I’m proud to be part of the squad. International football is a different level, and I’m looking forward to more opportunities with the national team in the future.

My focus is on helping Auckland FC establish itself in the A-League and making an impact right away. Personally, I want to continue improving as a player and contribute as much as I can.
