Moving to Burnley was a huge step for me. I was just a teenager, and it was a bit daunting to move halfway around the world, but I was excited about the opportunity. Training with professional players and competing at that level was an incredible experience that shaped my career.
I remember stepping onto the pitch against Birmingham City and feeling a rush of emotions. To set that record was special, but more than that, it was about realizing a dream I’d had since I was a kid. It gave me confidence and motivated me to keep pushing forward in my career.
At St Mirren, I had to adapt to a different style of play, and at Team Wellington, I found my footing again. Playing consistently helped me regain my confidence and develop my skills, which ultimately led me back to Auckland City and now Auckland FC.
Auckland FC is a club with a lot of ambition, and I was excited about the project they’re building. The A-League is competitive, and I’m eager to contribute to the team’s success.
Representing New Zealand has always been a massive honour for me. Playing at youth levels, including the FIFA U-17 World Cup, taught me so much about teamwork and resilience. It also helped me understand the importance of representing my country, which adds extra motivation every time I step onto the pitch.
Being part of the national team is an incredible feeling. I’m proud to wear the All Whites jersey whenever I get the chance.
