Moving to New Zealand has been an exciting experience. It’s a beautiful country, and the culture is quite different from what I’m used to back in Uruguay. At first, it was a bit overwhelming, but I’ve been welcomed warmly by the team and the local community, which has made the transition smoother.
I was a youth academy product of Nacional and part of the under-20 team that won the 2018 U-20 Copa Libertadores. Winning the U-20 Copa Libertadores was a pivotal moment for me. Scoring four goals in that tournament, including a hat-trick against Colo-Colo, boosted my confidence and helped me realize my potential. It taught me the importance of teamwork and perseverance, which I carry with me in every match.
Playing in Spain was a great learning opportunity. The style of play was different, and I had to adapt quickly to the pace and tactical aspects of the game. I played 29 matches and scored four goals, which was challenging but rewarding. It helped me grow as a player and learn to handle pressure in high-stakes situations.
After my time in Spain and returning to Uruguay, I felt it was time for a new challenge. Joining Auckland FC presented an exciting opportunity to play in the A-League and experience a different level of competition. I want to contribute to the team and help us succeed.
Learning about the local Kiwi culture and customs has been enjoyable. My teammates have been very supportive.
My main goal at Auckland FC is to make a significant impact on the team. I want to score goals and help my teammates achieve our objectives. I’m also looking to settle in, enjoy my time here, and continue developing as a player.
