Sam Cosgrove

Sam Cosgrove began his career with Wigan Athletic, making his professional debut in the FA Cup third round in 2015. Cosgrove had multiple loan spells at various clubs, including Barrow, Chorley, Nantwich Town, and North Ferriby United. Cosgrove moved to Carslie United for the 2017/18 season, before finding his groove after landing a move to Scottish side Aberdeen. 

Cosgrove made his first start for Aberdeen in 2018, assisting to help his side to a 2-0 win. Across his 3 years with Aberdeen, Cosgrove bagged 47 goals. In 2021, Cosgrove signed with Brimingham City. During his time with the club, he went on loans to Shrewsbury Town, AFC Wimbledon, and Plymouth Argyle. His debut for Plymouth came off the bench, where he scored two goals to help his side win 3-2. 

Cosgrove had stints at Barnsley and Stockport County, before joining Auckland FC in 2025. Cosgrove scored his first goal for the club against Adelaide United, securing a 2-1 win.
