Match-worn shirts from Auckland FC’s Round 25 match against Central Coast Mariners are available for auction on Trade Me, in support of the Auckland RSA
Auckland FC is continuing its commitment to honouring New Zealand’s veterans by auctioning match-worn shirts from its final home game of the season, featuring a poppy, in partnership with the Auckland Returned Services Association (RSA).
During the club’s Round 25 fixture at Go Media Stadium, players took the field wearing specially designed jerseys featuring a commemorative poppy printed on the centre of the shirt. The initiative formed part of a broader effort to raise awareness and financial support for veterans in the lead-up to ANZAC Day.
Auckland FC Striker Sam Cosgrove said it was a special moment to be part of.
“The ceremony pre-match was something special, it reminds you that some things are simply bigger than football.”

Now, those match-worn shirts are being made available to fans via Trade Me, offering a rare opportunity to own a unique piece of Auckland FC history while contributing to a meaningful cause.
Nick Becker, Auckland FC CEO, said he was happy to continue the club’s support of veterans.
“Sunday was a special opportunity for the club and fans to honor and support our veterans, and we remain committed to our support.”
Each player’s shirt from the starting XI to the substitutes will be signed and auctioned, with the proceeds raising additional funds for veterans.
The listings will start at $50 with the auctions closing on Monday at 11:45 PM to finish off the ANZAC long weekend.
Don’t miss the chance to support our veterans and grab a piece of Auckland FC history.
