Auckland NZ – At Auckland FC, embedding ourselves in the community and helping in the development of young local talent here in Auckland has been at the core of who we are.
We’re excited to announce that the contributions of our club kickback initiative will be paid to local clubs. We committed to giving back 20% of every membership directly to the local clubs our members nominated, and now over $100,000 will be reinvested into grassroots football.
Chief Executive Nick Becker shared his thoughts: “From day one, we’ve wanted to be a part of the community in a meaningful way. We want the relationship and connection with the clubs to be authentic and genuine. It’s easy to say we value local clubs, but we believe in taking action. This initiative is our way of giving back, fostering genuine relationships, and investing in the future of football in Auckland.”
The kickback programme allows each member to nominate their local club upon joining, ensuring that their support flows directly to the clubs that are the lifeblood of football in this country.
“This initiative strengthens our ties with local clubs and enriches the football community in Auckland,” Becker added. “We are proud to contribute to something that matters.”
This is set to be the first kickback payment as the season draws closer. The initiative will apply to any full season membership purchased in the month of October.
Additionally, through the signings of our eight youth players, their prior clubs have also received over $70,000 in FIFA training compensation.
Auckland FC’s inaugural match is fast approaching. Join us in making history on Saturday, October 19th against the Brisbane Roar.
