Auckland FC is thrilled to celebrate the impressive achievements of its players during the recent international break.
In last night’s match against Samoa, Francis de Vries scored his first-ever goal for the All Whites. This is a special moment that not only marks a significant personal achievement but also solidifies his reputation as a top-tier defender.
In another exciting development, Liam Gillion earned his first international cap for the All Whites against Vanuatu last Friday. Earning his first cap is a major milestone in Gillion’s career and a testament to his consistent, impressive performances in the A-League this season.
During the international break, six Auckland FC players received call-ups to represent the All Whites: defenders Tommy Smith, Nando Pijnaker, and Francis de Vries, goalkeeper Alex Paulsen and wingers Logan Rogerson, and Liam Gillion. This level of representation is a testament to the club’s increasing impact on New Zealand football, highlighting Auckland FC’s commitment to developing top-tier talent capable of competing on the international stage.
Auckland FC extends its congratulations to Francis de Vries, Liam Gillion, and all our All Whites on their outstanding performances during the international break. We look forward to seeing them continue to make their mark and inspire the next generation of footballers in New Zealand.
The club remains committed to nurturing and supporting local talent, and it’s rewarding to see our players shining on the international stage, representing both Auckland FC and New Zealand.
