Six Auckland FC Players Selected for All Whites World Cup Qualifier Squad

Auckland FC is proud to announce that six players have been selected to represent New Zealand as part of the All Whites squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

The selected players – Tommy Smith (defender), Nando Pijnaker (defender), Francis de Vries (defender), Alex Paulsen (goalkeeper), Logan Rogerson (winger) and Liam Gillion (winger) – will represent the national team as they work to secure New Zealand’s place on the world stage.

This selection is particularly special for Liam Gillion, who will make his international debut for the All Whites. Gillion’s call-up reflects his hard work, and impressive performances for Auckland FC so far this season.

Logan Rogerson will play in his hometown of Hamilton, where the All Whites are set to face Vanuatu on November 15 at FMG Stadium Waikato. This game provides Rogerson with a unique opportunity to perform in front of family, friends, and the community that has supported his career since the beginning.

After the Hamilton matchup, the All Whites will continue their World Cup qualifying journey on November 18 at Auckland’s Go Media Stadium, where they will face Samoa.

“We’re incredibly proud of these six players and excited to see them represent New Zealand,” said Terry McFlynn Auckland FC Director of Football. “Having an A-League team in Auckland, with a squad featuring 18 New Zealanders, has brought visibility and valuable opportunities for local talent. It’s fantastic to see our players rewarded with All Whites selection.”
